Bethenny Frankel: Relieved Her Talk Show Was Cancelled

I know I didn't care too much for Bethenny Frankel's talk show too much, or her. But - I'm glad she had better things to think about (like I care) than her talk show. I guess not enough ratings? I don't wish the worse on anyone, but - it was Bethenny decision to do what she thought was right for her and with her show being axed, media outlet (Radar Online) had all the all the details.  Bethenny Frankel, 43, published on her website, titled it “An Open Letter From Me To You” and in which she says she loved “connecting to women” but that parts of the job weren’t “authentic to her” and she ultimately felt “a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted.”
“People ask me how I feel about this, so I wanted to share it with you straight up,” she writes of the show being canceled. “What I love about doing my talk show is connecting to women. I love the opportunity to inspire, to be inspired and to be able to help women to be their best, succeed and feel better about themselves.”

She was plagued by her shows, low ratings. Bethenny's lasted one season. Bethenny continued,

“In order to have the freedom to create a talk show, there are required elements that the job entails. This is the part that I didn’t enjoy so much and that wasn’t authentic to me. In addition, I tend to be quite inappropriate which may not be suitable for daytime television or for the suits that run network television nationwide,” she also wrote.

“Unlike my time on Bravo, I felt a bit diluted, filtered and somewhat constricted. I am a free spirit. My late father (a horse trainer) used to say ‘She is a mustang. You need to let her run.’ I am more comfortable in my natural surroundings and in a setting where I’m surrounded by crazy, where anything goes and where I can be authentically me. "When interviewed about the show, I always said that it could only work if I was true to myself and only if it was genuinely a good fit and marriage which it turned out not to be.”

Frankel said, great talk show hosts like Ellen DeGeneres, Oprah Winfrey and Wendy Williams make it looks easy and she has a new found respect for them. “So to answer how I feel, I am relieved. What I really want right now is to be with my daughter, to do yoga, to focus on "skinny girl" and my writing, and to give myself a break,” Frankel wrote. I have been striving and climbing and white-knuckling for so long that I need a rest from the grind. I’m a little over myself and wouldn’t blame anyone else for being over me as well.”

I got to give Bethenny Frankel a little credit here for wanting to devote her time to her daughter. That hit a spot for me! I guess when you give up something like a talk show, or your career for you children, that is priceless. I can't forget the yoga, Bethenny mentioned it in her letter. "Stress Reliever!"

As Always, Open Discussion

If anyone out there in cyberspace - who followed and know the complete history (from 'almost' day one) of Jon and Kate Gosselin -- this blog is for those who want to discuss and show their support for Jon (even if everyone thinks he is a "douche-bag" he's still the father of the Gosselin 8. Jon has made mistakes in his past. He has apologized for those mistakes and to everyone through the media and to Kate - even if she wouldn't let him apologize to her face to face, Jon has apologized to Kate (more than I can say for Kate, "She has not apologized to Jon or the public yet.") No matter what you think of Jon, I support him as a person and the father of the Gosselin 8 and for all he's been through, especially with his 10 year marriage to Kate Gosselin. If you're not a supporter of Jon, that is your decision, do not attack any of my posters or me (T) on this blog or demand anything from my posters or me (T) that justifies our support for Jon. If any attacks or demands are made against my posters or me (T), you will be deleted from this blog. It is our right to support Jon and our freedom to express our opinions about Jon. If you don't like it -- that's too bad!
